Work from the source format.
Use raw AIS NMEA sentences in your own parsing and analysis workflow. The feed is intended for teams that need the message format itself rather than only decoded vessel objects.

We review access individually.About the NMEA Stream beta.
How is this different from AIS Stream?
AIS Stream delivers decoded AIS messages over WebSocket. NMEA Stream is for raw AIS NMEA sentences and has separate, request-only beta access.
Is NMEA Stream available with a free API key?
No self-service access is available during the closed beta. Send us a request so we can review your use case and explain the applicable terms.
Which areas and messages are included?
Availability depends on the raw AIS data we can provide. We confirm coverage and any limits individually before access is granted.
Bring your NMEA use case to Pelyr.
Tell us what you are building and where you need AIS data. We will review your request and reply with the next steps for the closed beta.
