Pelyr brings together a vessel map, developer tools and a community of AIS receiver operators.
The idea is simple: make maritime movement easier to explore. Start with a passing ship, retrace a familiar journey or use the APIs to ask a question of your own.
It is an independent project, shaped by curiosity and built a step at a time.

AIS reports describe observed vessel movements. Reports can be delayed or incomplete, and historical tracks reflect the positions that were recorded. Pelyr is for exploration and information, never navigation or safety decisions.
